We went ahead and merged various differencing disks that were previously hindering the expansion of the OS disk, as well as rebuilt the VM to simplify naming conventions and remove outdated data. Additionally, we have successfully expanded both physical and virtual drives for the McDonough file server.

The system has been optimized by deleting outdated Windows Update files, which has resulted in gaining additional storage space for the client’s computer.

Upon conducting our investigation, we have determined that the issue in question is not a legitimate threat.

I'm unsure as to what this threat may have been, but after noticing that it leveraged a domain admin's user account (on a different domain controller than the affected one), I reset the password to the account, then rolled back any changes the threat made. Finally, I rebooted the machine and did research into what the threat changed, file-wise. It seems to be relatively innocuous, but we should keep an eye out just in case.
